Award winning photographer, John Kelly, will have a very special exhibition of photographs, in Anitas Store, portraying the diverse nature of our community, entitled “1 x 1”

We will also, be adding to our long term street art project, with a new sculpture by artist Leanne McLoughlin, which will appear at various locations around the village, before finding its permanent home at the Harbour.

On top of that, local artist Mark Wilson is busy with a project called ‘Ploughing Ahead’. He has been working with TY students from Scariff Community College, as well as the local Mens Shed, to forge two seats, made from Horse drawn plough parts. This project will be on-going throughout the festival, and you will be able to see them working at The Forge.

Visible Reminders of Light

The concept behind this exhibition is to explore a personal response to the collections of the Hunt Museum and Limerick Museum’s collections as the source of departure. Each artist was asked to select two works, one from the Hunt Museum and one from the Limerick Museum’s Collections (preferably with a family related theme) and form a visual or short narrative response to these objects as a point of departure.

Ploughing Ahead

The Festival committee have commissioned Mark Wilson to create two seats made from horse drawn plough parts, and wood, salvaged from trees from the area.
