Agnes of God

WayWord Theatre Company Presents
A Rehearsed Reading of John Pielmeier’s Agnes of God

Hot off the back of WayWord Theatre’s debut production Get the Boat which premiered Off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse, NYC, co-founders Eavan Brennan, Siobhán Donnellan and Ruth Smith present a rehearsed reading of Agnes of God by American playwright John Pielmeier directed by Paul Brennan.

Agnes of God tells the story of a novice nun who insists that her child was the result of a virgin conception. A psychiatrist and the mother superior of the convent clash during the resulting investigation.

WayWord Theatre is passionate about issue led theatre. Given the current political and social climate, Agnes of God is as relevant now as it was when it first premiered in 1979.
