Draw a Goldfinch: A Fun Kids’ Art Workshop
A fun, engaging one-hour workshop for children introducing Ireland’s native Goldfinch through simple, step-by-step drawing techniques. The session begins with a short warm-up sketching activity, followed by a guided drawing of this colourful bird, inspired by Irish nature and folklore.
Children will learn how to break images down into easy shapes, developing skills in observation, proportion, and sketching, before using colouring pencils to finish their artwork. Gentle storytelling woven throughout the session adds a sense of magic and connection to the natural world.
No previous drawing experience is required, and all materials are provided.
