Mrs Dillon, matriarch of Knocknaclogga, employs TLCI to investigate a series of incidents that may or may not be dangerous, but are causing her to doubt her capabilities. The ensuing investigation leads to the discovery of a coin that plunges Trout and Lauren into the world of coin forgery. In turn this brings them to the attention of the CIA, who are actively seeking an almost mythical coin and the person who has killed, to possess it. When Gohenny Antiques, friends of Lauren are targeted, the intrepid duo race to the rescue but the killer is determined to win at all costs.
Time is of the essence and for Trout and Lauren, the clock is ticking.
