A Flow of Words on Scariff Bay Community Radio with Mountshannon Arts has a spring in their step and we invite writers to take inspiration from Yeats' poem.
 
O chestnut tree, great rooted blossomer.
Are you the leaf, the blossom or the bole?
O body swayed to music, O brightening glance,
How can we know the dancer from the dance?

Dancing at Lughnasa, to a Child Dancing in the Wind, Dancing Queen, Riverdance, Dancing with the Stars, Ballroom Dance, Dancing at the Disco bumper to bumper, Dancing at the Crossroads……..literature and dance - language and movement intertwined.
 
From tango to tap, ballet to Balfolk, haka to heavy jigs, whirls, twirls, waltzes and dance hall days, send us your poetry and prose relating to DANCE to aflowofwords@scariffbayradio.com and mountshannonpoetry@gmail.com by February 20th  and include a contact phone number.
 
Writers will be invited to read and record their own piece for radio broadcast.  Guidelines prose 600-1000 words, poetry 20-50 lines.
